Since Valentine's Day is coming I decided to try and do some fun heart crafts with Kendall. Yesterday did not go so well on my part. I learned my lesson. She was making valentine cards with markers, stickers, and stamps. Not a good idea. I thought I could help her out at the coffee table, but she was not willing to take my help. She would get mad once she stuck a sticker down and want to rip it off. The stamp pad she used with her hands and she would run from me when I tried to help her write with the markers. Lesson learned. So...today after her nap I had cut some hearts out and got CRAYONS, no stickers, and did the stamping myself. But, best of all I strapped her in her booster seat so she could not run around. It went much better!!! And she let me help her write all our names. We hung up her decoration and she loves to touch all the hearts! Still can't tell if she is right or left handed. Matt says she eats better with her left hand and has better coordination with it. She colored with both hands though. Maybe she is ambidextrous!!??!

Miss Smarty Pants
I started working on her scrap book at the table. Her and Sadie were playing in the den with me. Then, I heard the kitchen drawer open. This is what I found! She had gone in her room and got her stool, that I use to put her in her crib, and brought it in the kitchen so she could reach what she wanted!!! She is very sneaky!!!
Being sushed by my one-year old!!
When I woke Kendall up this morning she was playing with her babies while I fixed her breakfast. It was sooo cute I had to take a picture. She was trying to give them her milk and saying "mmmm baby", then she would wipe their faces off. When I was telling her that breakfast was ready she told me "shhhh baby night-night"!!! lol I looked and saw that she had her babies laying on a pillow and was patting their backs and then covered them up with a place mat. She even kissed them night-night! It is so sweet to watch her play like that. I had to capture it and the crazy morning hair!
Eating at the table
Here is Kendall eating for the first time at our cute little square table. She actually does very good and does not let anything get off her placemat.
Uh-Ooh!!
So, I did a little rearranging today. We got a small table for Matt and I to sit at bc the coffee table is not working. Kendall can reach our food when she is done. Plus I want to start sitting her in a booster seat at the table, with a plate and utensils. With Matt's big corner desk in our dining room space there was not a lot of room even for the small table, but it will work. So, I had to move my computer and little desk in our bedroom and my standing jewelry box had to go in our closet now. I did have it in our room, but turned around, so Kendall could not open the drawers. Since I moved it in the closet in our bathroom, which I always keep shut, I left it turned the right way so I can finally get to my stuff now! Well, during all this rearranging, I noticed Kendall was being awfully quiet somewhere. That usually means she is getting into something!! Remember the closet door that I always keep shut, well I guess I can't say ALWAYS!! BUSTED!!!! When I walked in she said "UH-OOH" like all the bracelets had fell out on their own!! lol
Big Girl!!
So, Kendall loves when Matt leaves his computer game to go to the rest room. She can climb up in his chair now and she goes to town clicking the mouse and typing!! I had to get a picture before I made her get down. I told him he needs to push his chair in when he gets up or she will play his game for him. His friends on his game asked him when he got back "what is wrong with you, is everything OK?" Apparently Kendall had typed in WOW and kept hitting enter, so it was like Matt kept saying WOW over and over again..lol..That is what he gets for leaving it unattended!!
My friend Carrie also gave me her girls' corner kitchen bc they outgrew it. I just cleaned it and found a spot for it today and that is what she has been playing with all afternoon!! When Matt got home from work I told her to show Daddy what she has been cooking. She went over to the kitchen, opened the stove, and pulled out an ear of corn on a plate and brought it to him. Then said "mmmmmm"! So cute!!! That same friend gave me a play changing table/high chair for Kendall too. So, she puts her babies in the high chair and feeds them their snacks. The other day I gave Kendall her snack in a bowl. She decided to share it with her baby, so I had chex mix all over the floor!! It is soooo cute seeing her "play house" though. It is funny the things she picks up. She even puts her babies on her shoulder and pats their backs, while singing to them, to make them go night-night!!
